My experience at Mission Encounter
|
|
Have you ever gone somewhere to help
someone and you received a blessing? This
happened to me last May at the Mission Encounter
at The House of Carpenter. I went to help and I
have COPD. When the ladies started to paint, the
fumes got to me. One of the ladies drove me back
to where we were staying and another lady stayed
with me to make sure I was okay. The love and the
joy I received was unbelievable.

The fellowship at Mission Encounter is
wonderful. I had a chance to meet United
Methodist Women whom I had not had the
opportunity to meet before I came that were from
the various districts in West Virginia. In the
evenings after supper we all had a sing -along from
the United Methodist hymnal. Later, we all retired
to the house we were staying and we all got
together and exchanged tales of our experiences at
home, there at the Mission Encounter and
elsewhere. It was truly a blessing and I can't wait
to go back to Mission Encounter this year.
